Attendance was light with a short business meeting.
The first item of business was a report indicating that no suitable facility for a group of our size was located in the Reisterstown area. For the time being the group will continue to meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Park's landing.
Dave Pfaltzgraff presented a map of Maryland showing the counties included as a part of the Baltimore Section of the IEEE. When one considers the travel distance required, the areas marked in red represent a reasonable geographic area for this group. Based on this, the name of Central Maryland Consultants Network was suggested. Until a better name may be suggested by the group at large, this name and the acronym CMCN will be used. A suggested logo is the outline of Maryland with the central area filled in. However, more imaginative ideas would be welcome! (Note that Frederick and Montgomery counties are considered as part of the Washington, DC Section.)
In order to facilitate communication within the group and to provide some form of web presence, Pitchfork Solutions, LLC. will provide simple web hosting and a mailing group will be formed.
There was some discussion on various methods available to get information about CMCN out to potential members and clients. Members are encouraged to explore various local media. Ideas should be presented at the next meeting.
Those present were:
Roy Stehlik, IEEE Member
David Pfaltzgraff, IEEE Member
